México sends its worst he said. Clearly #DonaldTrump was wrong. I would bet many of the Mexican armed forces that landed in #California yesterday have family and friends who are migrants living in the US.
Adding context to stories about #MexicanFirefighters helping in #LAfires. México's armed forces has three primary tasks: DN1 - national sovereignty, DN2 - internal security & DN3 - disaster response. DN3 is helping in #LA. México invests heavily in DN3, which arrived yesterday. MXAF C-130 in back.

Operation Wetback is the 1954 #massdeportation launched by the #Eisenhower Administration. About 1 million Mexicans, including US citizens, were #deported. What is not well known is that Mexican officials actively helped to plan and participated in the deportations to keep “cheap labor” in México.

Mass deportations are not only destructive to America’s migrant communities, but they also leave detrimental consequences across the country at almost every level, including economy, the country’s identity & among families even those without a migration history in their family trees. #migrants

Many Americans erroneously believe that #massdeportations will resolve America’s longstanding problems with its economy and its cultural identity. The history of mass deportations in America has proved that mass deportations do not solve America’s problems - they exacerbate them. #migrants
