I am an immigrant creating, coding and writing. I code and create GOTV assets. I write about public policy issues on the US-México border, and I create multimedia about border politics.
I've launched a new Youtube and #podcast series: The Mex Fed Docuseries, where we will explore the past, the present and the future of the Mexican military. Unknown to many, #AMLO started the rapid militarization of the country when he assumed office. www.youtube.com/@mexfed #mexicanmilitary

It may come as a surprise to some of you that I’ve worked on El Paso political campaigns since 2001. Drawing from my 24 years of experience creating political campaign branding, strategies and a voter data platform I wrote “The Handbook to Winning El Paso Elections.” It goes on sale next week.

Adding context to stories about #MexicanFirefighters helping in #LAfires. México's armed forces has three primary tasks: DN1 - national sovereignty, DN2 - internal security & DN3 - disaster response. DN3 is helping in #LA. México invests heavily in DN3, which arrived yesterday. MXAF C-130 in back.

At about 9:30am EST today, the United States of America will have the first #convictedfelon as president elect soon to be president. Let that sink in. American people, at least the majority that voted via the electoral college, made this happen. What does it say about America's #ruleoflaw? #trump

I agree with my president, Claudia Sheinbaum, it's time to start thinking about renaming the United States to its original name, you know before the invaders arrived: America Méxicana. #MexicanAmerica Donald Trump has never done well against women willing to take him on.

The about face by #Facebook on #factcheck is both a business decision and commercial window dressing. Moderation and fact checking will never be fair because, whether automated or manual in the end it is #anglocentric voices the decide. The rule of the minority over the majority.

What is important to remember about the sentencing of Donald Trump on January 20 is not that he is not going to jail but the fact that he will be a convicted felon upon being sentenced. Under US jurisprudence, it is the sentence that make him a convicted felon. www.justice.gov/archives/jm/...

In my recent column I explain the geopolitics behind President Claudia Sheinbaum's #tariffs on #Chinese textiles.
Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum's #tariffs on #Chinese textiles is about stimulating the Mexican textile sector by forcing the Chinese to use Mexican facilities and labor to finish the apparels destined for American consumers. It also develops #nearshoring. martinparedes.us/p/the-geopol...
The Geopolitics Of The Mexican Tariff On Textiles
The geopolitics of the new textile tariff set by México last month is about forcing Chinese textile manufacturing to stop bypassing Mexican labor for the US market.

If you are a #business owner, did you file your Beneficial Ownership Information Report with the government? Did you know that Chinese #hackers may have your personal details? Worse, is that it may not have been necessary to file the #boir because the courts may find it #unconstitutional.
The government collected private information about business owners and now the Chinese may have it. Now questions about the right to collect the private owner details are being debated in court. Was it necessary to put Americans in danger?
A Hacker’s Dream: The Beneficial Ownership Information Report
The Chinese are allegedly collecting information on Americans through hacking computers. Did business owners just became victims?

They take our jobs away is one of the arguments made by those opposed to #immigrants. But inconvenient truth is that Americans are highly dependent on #migrants for low prices. Threatening to #deport migrants is not new, it has been done before and will be done again. Immigrants empower America.
"They come to take our jobs away" is one argument made about #migrants. Some blame #immigrants for the rising cost of houses. The facts are the immigrant labor, which America is dependent on, keeps the price of houses low & are unlikely to use low-income housing. tennesseelookout.com/2024/12/27/d...
Despite Trump’s claim, deportations likely wouldn’t ease housing crisis, most experts say • Tennessee Lookout
The mass deportations of immigrants that President-elect Donald Trump has promised aren’t likely to make a dent in the U.S. housing crisis.

This is one of the faces of #immigrants in America.
Who are the #Latino Americans? Many have been here for generations. Others arrived regularly from across the globe since America became a country. And, others are Sebastian Villaorduña whose mother worked menial jobs to get him here where he joined the #usmilitary before becoming a #citizen.
The #migrants making up America's population hail from across the globe & fill essential job sectors helping Americans stay healthy & safe. Many #immigrants are health professionals & others, like Sebastian Villaorduña are #usmilitary before becoming a #citizen www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Missing in the dialog of the Mexican #drugcartels is how the targeting of the Cali and Medellin cartels by the US government led to the rise of small time Mexican marihuana peddlers into drug lords from 1970 and 1980's. It is from here where #Chapo Guzmán and others like him became household names.
Fabio Ochoa, one of the original #DrugLord s, was released from a US prison yesterday. He is now in Columbia. Ochoa was one of the founders of the Medellin cartel. Cali and Medellin cartels gave rise to the Mexican mafiosos after US operations dismantled them. www.cbsnews.com/news/fabio-o... #narcos
