This is Kalanthe (name from @ekjohnston.bsky.social's The Afterward). She is a 7 year old Australian Cattle Dog (a red heeler like Bingo and Chilli in Bluey). She's 15kg/30lbs over her ideal weight, has arthritis and needs lots of training. @distaff.bsky.social and I are getting there!

Hey @distaff.bsky.social, we've been married for 7 years. Asking you to marry me changed everything for the better. Marrying you in the middle of an ice storm surrounded by family and friends (so many of our internet friends!) will always be our best story. Best of wives and best of women. ❤️

This is Squirrel. She's a Tortoiseshell bitsa (bits of this, bits of that) and a grand old dame at 14. She doesn't like new people (or the dog) but she's a big cuddler and during the night is a speedy superhero called The Night. Found her as a kitten in bushland and had to take her home.
This is Puck! She's a 13 year old hound mix who moved to Australia from Michigan USA in 2018 (I married her human!). She has since communed with kangaroos, got confused by salty water (ocean, not freshwater Great Lake) and become an honorary fruit bat and possum. She loves it always being summer!

This is Puck! She's a 13 year old hound mix who moved to Australia from Michigan USA in 2018 (I married her human!). She has since communed with kangaroos, got confused by salty water (ocean, not freshwater Great Lake) and become an honorary fruit bat and possum. She loves it always being summer!

I keep forgetting to check here and I've been hesitant to post since over at the other place my account was private for so long. That was mostly for work reasons and I talk about that a lot less now we're not at the height of a public health emergency (just at a "normal" level). Obligatory cat tax:
