If you want to change the rotation origin on an object in @figma.com Design, select the object and press ⌥R (Alt R) to bring up the orientation point, and move it to a better spot for that perfect rotation point.

In Figma Design, press control when right-clicking to see all of the objects / layers underneath your cursor to select objects out of view, behind other objects. Another reason to name your layers 🫣. #FigmaTip

Your Friday reminder that the pattern fill tool in Figma is an absolute bop. Select any source that you want to be a pattern, and it live updates, and control the pattern type, scaling, spacing, and orientation. #FigmaTip

In @figma.com using shape builder tool to make a yin-yang symbol, fast. Select the objects and press M to use shape builder.

A simple way to get started with @figma.com Make. In this example, I go from bespoke digital clock design to working publishable site. I can even point click and prompt or adjust specific aspects of the output.

In @figma.com Design you can easily cut up a shape with a path using the shape builder tool, without moving over to draw! 🤯

Just draw the path you want to use to "Cut." Just select your object and path and press "M," and click your regions.

Made a lil @figma.com stencil using a mask layer to play around with the new scatter brushes (that dropped today!) in Figma Draw. (and a lil beat to go along with it on my OP-1 field).

In @figma.com Draw, you can now manually type in variable width stroke values, tab through variable width stroke nodes, and multi-select and edit them by holding shift when selecting.

Also! You can now also simplify your complex vector paths and reduce nodes with the newly added simplify vector tool in @figma.com Draw! I was super stoked to demo this on the Release Notes live stream!

Offset vector paths now available in @figma.com Draw. You can now take any flattened vector path and offset it to expand or retract it. It even lets you round out those sharp edges.

Made a lil illustration in @figma.com Draw with dynamic stroke and texture effects and text on a path. I dared to paste the SVG code into CodePen. This is what happened:

Check your color contrast for accessibility natively in
@figma.com —rolling out over the next week or so. Find it in a color picker near you!👏👏👏

• Auto adjusts for graphics / text size and weight
• Visualizes out of range options
• Click indicator to get accessible recommendation.

Adding page numbers to @figma.com Slides! It is in the inserts menu (Shift + I). You can change format, set page numbers by row, and apply to all sides! let's go!!!

You now have more control over the appearance of your images in @figma.com exports. Choose from 'detailed' or 'basic' image resampling.

The new default is detailed and references bicubic image resampling. Basic refers to nearest neighbor resampling and was the previous default in Figma.

Yes, @figma aspect ratio lock works on vector objects and groups.

You can now apply aspect ratio lock to your objects in @figma.com for better resizing. Apply it to the media inside your responsive components!

Tip: hold control key to temporarily ignore ar lock when resizing an element. 🔒in, let's go!
