Since Feb 2025, WHO-supported mobile clinic by The Midwife in Action’s Association – Vyara Uheke operates at Cishemere transit site, under the Cibitoke Health District.

19 Dec 2025 – With CAREC support, MAA Burundi’s WHO-backed mobile clinic performed ultrasounds for 25 high-risk pregnant women among 300+ at the site. 👩‍⚕️ The team is working tirelessly to ensure timely care for mothers and babies.

With financial and technical support from WhoBurundi under the supervision of health authorities MAA has been providing preventive consultations since February 2025 to refugees at the Musenyi site (Rutana), the Cishemere transit site (Cibitoke), as well as to the local Burundian host population.
