@angeladavismpr.bsky.social working with EVs in rural communities, a big hurdle is people don’t often recognize how many EVs are around them. I talk to people who claim to never see EVs, but in a few minutes I can point out 4-5 driving by, and the people didn’t know those models were all electric.

Also, it's backwards to think YIMBYs are deregulators & NIMBYs pro-regulation. US land-use governance is an unregulated free-for-all in which local electeds & neighborhood busybodies exercise arbitrary power. YIMBY seeks to replace that with predictable rule-based decision-making.

Rather than using 10,000 year old samples to de-extinct animals like wooly mammoths, why don’t we use much newer samples to provide genetic diversity to populations of threatened species that have suffered genetic bottlenecks like American Bison or prairie chickens.

I’ve been saying Rochester should do this for years. Good for the library, good for neighborhood commercial nodes, good for people who can’t (or won’t) go downtown.

Very much like this approach. Sure, we need to build. But more efficient use of resources, including dual-direction market signals, can get us a huge part of the way there without a single building permit.
