Chris does a great job with this. But…ultimately he can’t get anything done. We only have the midterms to look forward to. Which, I suspect, will somehow be rigged, undone, or simply not held. We can all see where this is going. If it matters, it’s inevitable…

Gilles was exactly what I, as a fan, wanted out of a driver. His life off track wasn’t much different than on. Just balls to the wall with lots of personality. It’s missing from today’s drivers, and in ways for good reasons. But the days of swashbuckling drivers can’t be matched.
Gilles Villeneuve lost his life at Zolder #OnThisDay in ’82. Remember him this way, muscling his powerful but truck-like Ferrari 126CK to victory at Monaco, a superb win that owed everything to in-cockpit bravura & bugger-all to chassis agility.

Not sure my BP can watching the supreme asshole tonight. It’s a total waste of time as we know it will be filled with lies, gaslighting, and hubris. But it is like a train wreck, you just find it hard not to stare.
