I’m seeing a lot of gorgeous ginkgo trees from shrines in Kyoto on my feed right now and I can’t help thinking that the Sensoji ginkgo would totally look like them too if not for that time firebombs were dropped directly on their heads but guess what Kyoto you’ll never do this.

The world according to a half-charred and hollowed out survivor of the Tokyo firebombings that is actually the most compelling site at Sensoji but no one pays any notice because it has been relegated to the smoking area seeing as humans are inherent dicks. Pretty though.
