half way through tho short it’s depressing me omg. I had to pause go breathe and just collect myself again because I just saw it shattered all over that emptiness and need to anchor one’s self in the story.
Maybe combine that with The Death of Ivan Ilyich, i also know the plot and importance but i feel like these emotions come together and it’s not that long.
Still reading katabasis, so it stays as the lighter read.

I always hear all quiet on the western front being referenced in films and art and i knew an overview of it but i feel a need to actually read it. the emotional toll, trauma and stagnation might be just relatable a bit as starters to pick an immense war experience like that.

Getting to listen to vampire masquerade ost for a few hours now is making me emotional and nostalgic. I feel like i aged a million years in six months .. hmm i need to revive myself.

oh I forgot to point out that I wanted his back to reflect butterflies and wings connecting him to Elizabeth and her colors too.
But once im done I remembered legacy of Kane, soul reaver. esp when his wings were clipped.
