Grover spent his war sitting happy, thumb on the trigger of his Vickers gun, "watering his Huns". He couldn't take civilian life afterwards, bouncing between the poorhouse and the tavern until he joined up with the Royal Irish Constabulary in 1920. He was accidentally shot by a sentry in Belfast.

And to give a clearer picture of the numbers...it's not 9 failures and then 4 hits. It's 7 out of 10 for realistic config tests (counting the 2019 and 2023 tests which are not on this list). Preceded by 5 and 5 on flight sciences type of tests. Would agree it's not stellar, but not a dud either.
