Dad of 3, forever grieving the loss of one of them. Engineer, systems thinker. I make mistakes!

Try to walk a mile in someone else's shoes before you judge them!

Finally, I don't follow those with zero posts and/or without a profile description.

Remember when "we" thought Boris Johnson was one of us, a man of the people, understood us, was anti-establishment, would fix Britain?

Nigel Farage is the same type of "leader"! You have been warned...
Clearly God does no bless America nor Americans...

I'm prepared to bet good money that Jenrick will be next Tory leader..

And that's frankly excellent news for everyone who doesn't want to see the Conservative party anywhere near power.

The Liverpool attack wasn’t terrorism. But the far-right didn’t wait for facts – they had a script ready.

This piece by The Bear cuts through the noise to show how outrage is manufactured.

What the Liverpool incident tells us about the new culture war
Forty-seven people were injured. The facts were clear. But the far-right had already written the script

What, as a nation of English, have we become?

A country that sighs relief when the alleged perpetrator is described as white male but would have rioted had they been anything but white.

If anyone thought Bruce Springsteen would back down after Donald Trump’s threats, last night he doubled down: “In my country, they're taking sadistic pleasure in the pain they inflict on loyal American workers. They're rolling back historic civil rights legislation that led to a more just society”

To all the hard of thinking gammon out there, immigrants are pioneers, the adventurers, the thinkers, the challengers of the norms.

Immigrants were the early adventurers, enabling man to prosper, and they do the same today. The gammon, however, are the Croods, still living in their caves...

This is the Groove-billed Ani (Crotophaga sulcirostris), and it's just straight up a dinosaur.

Like, I know *all* birds are technically avian dinosaurs, but my first thought looking at this guy is: dinosaur.

With respect, I think those stating Trump is appeasing Putin are missing the point.

During Germany's agression Britain and France needed time to build their forces. Appeasement was the chosen vehicle. The US is stronger than Russia. Therefore, Trump is a coward (nah), or he sees self enrichment.

"A Reform UK social media account digitally manipulated those comments to give the appearance that I had described Nigel Farage using a four letter expletive"

Thought of the day:

"God bless America", there is either no God, or she/he can't be arsed until Americans take a sober look at their gun culture... the maybe God may bless America via the Vatican...

Thought of the day:

We need to reduce immigration! This is controversial. However, until the "decent law abiding folk" experience this impact on society and the economy, then we will continue to have the likes of Farage spouting victimised!
