I need to at least get his sisters right to know what to ask them about which is fine for one of them, but there's 2 that look so similar to me if I don't prep by Facebook flashcarding their faces 😫 curse my poor facial recognition

What'd they even put all their modeling efforts in for if they weren't even going to use hegemony edelgard

good for her good for her but it also always happened like years ago too and I just completely missed it 😂 this is what I get for not being on facebook regularly i guess

Big bad magic got swatted aside by dimitri with his shitty res stat like alright sure 🙄

if it was directed at Edelgard who's temporarily teaming up with Dimitri to claw back control of Adrestia rather than the BL just constantly going "but can we really trust Claude??" Even "can we trust Claude" would hit harder if it was because maybe he'll support Edelgard over Dimitri in the end

For AG I'm not sure what new ideas the writers had. The alliances are the same, the enemy is the same--it felt like AM but more muted emotionally. I would've rather they also explored an Edelgard team up too. The tension of "will this faction leader betray me??" would hit a lot harder

I'm probably less negative on GW than you in that I thought it could be genuinely good if it had more time to breath and the writers could fully develop the plot points they were trying to set up and appreciate it fulfilling the one political alliance Claude didn't have a chance to make in 3H.

Things are happening, but it also feels like they could just not happen and we cut from the first post-ts chapter to the last and it would still be coherent. And I'm just not very interested when there's neither an interesting antagonist or even wild decisions to entertain me for the middle.
November 9, 2025 at 12:51 PM
As a result, thought processes aren't explored in depth, and ideas that should've been expanded on are relegated to single lines . Meanwhile AG's post-ts feels like its spinning its wheels in place. Everyone is on your side, the Empire is blandly evil, and so are all the lords on the revenge tour.

Imo the 2 routes have opposite pacing issues and I wish that 3Hopes allowed its routes to have different lengths like 3h. You could feel GW straining to fit everything in 17 chapters (shift to monarchy, mini-civil war, and starting war with Faerghus/Church all in one chapter was insane).

There's a lot of real life bitterness towards real issues that are seeping into this that affect why people are reacting negatively to hilda and a second byleth being placed as higher priority than one of the few popular brown characters in the franchise.
November 9, 2025 at 12:04 AM
That's what drives the bitterness when it feels like yet again, the brown character despite in game having top billing, is still considered secondary in importance in the eyes of the developers. Like its not just pure character love based hysteria

But the fact that he was skipped when dimitri and edelgard--the ones who he is supposed to be grouped with--got ones sequentially feels very pointed. Historically, there's an issue in the wider gaming community with both fans and devs being weird about their treatment of darker skinned characters.

This is kind of missing the main point of the concerns which is colorism. Societal biases will always make certain things easier for some than others, and colorism is an issue in Asia including in Japan. Byleth and Hilda getting something won't prevent Claude from getting something down the line
