I’ve never desired a week by the sea as much as I do know. Almost every night is a combo of nightmares and dreams of the Caribbean. Oh and here’s my pet dragon. She is a therapy dragon for sure.

Brunch in the greenhouse with Gwen- Strawberry, blueberry, oatmeal smoothie with flax and chia topped with microgreens and meal worms. When I added Gwen to my flock I didn’t know she had been debeaked- a cruel practice making it hard for her to eat & clean her feathers like. So she gets some TLC.

I likely have too high expectations for these but at least seeds give some sense of hope.

I am so sorry for your loss. They are so special beyond words. Lost my smudge muffin, Wally last month at 17.

Escaped from the horrors of reality for a bit with a nice walk accompanied by these two- Cosmo and his visiting friend Kevin.

Occasionally my pets become the subject of my sketches. This is Wally. He is 17 and has gotten me through so much. I found out recently that our days together are very numbered. He sat with me as I painted this.

My grandfather died before I was born and my mother died before I found these so I only know a bit about what the subject of the photos but they are valuable because they are still the log of a lost memory.

Some of my more recent work has touched on the fragility of memories and loss of generations of experiences. For this series I have been working with found photo slides taken by my grandfather that had been destroyed from water damage.
