Took Goose out for a nice long walk this morning and some playtime in the creek while we (unsuccessfully) tried to wait out the hot water heater replacement. While he was an absolute menace on the walk and when we got back, it was nice to just go out for a bit and watch him have fun ❤️
Goose, the black lab/border collie/some sort of hound mix, is approaching the camera. He has a grey harness on that is attached to a green biothane leash. That is definitely not what this is supposed to look like. Thought I'd resolved the pressure issues on the LC only to discover more later and now MS is doing....whatever this is. A problem to solve with the lab manager tomorrow I suppose.
A TIC diagram from the MS, which is simply how much the mass spec is detecting at a given time. The step function from 14 to 16 minutes is very abnormal, as are the gaps around 18 and 19 minutes. Also the y axis label should be Relative Abundance but is spelled as Realitive Abundance.

It's a great day for LCMS, listening to an alarming fume hood all day as the building's HVAC system is being worked on, and remembering not to trust anyone's work!
Microbes is pictured in front of a closed fume hood. There are two red lights, one to indicate that air flow to the hood is not high enough to remove fumes, and the other to indicate that it is alarming despite being closed.

It's midnight on a Sunday night. I thought I'd be done an hour ago. Instead, the lab manager shoved a sample loop into the LC injector so hard it took 20 minutes to get out, and now the auto sampler is shoving itself into a bar for reasons beyond me. Cannot express how over my thesis I currently am
