2024 is the year of crocheting cephalopods.
But I'm chuffed that he wants to repeat his costume again this year. All hail, Cthulhu!

I had a similar hesitation with our dog. I was afraid that anxiety med would make her a zombie. They did not; they just calmed the noise. She's now living her best medicated life!

First of all, I love that flower!

Second, does crochet count? Here's a crocheted dragon that also fold into a pocket square that I made for a fabulous kid this weekend.

🤯

May I present the giant squid I crocheted for my child for winter solstice 2023? It was taller than him at the time, and the materials were much less than $175 CAD

The roses in the backyard have exploded into bloom. I wish you could smell this picture.

Air quality improved enough for me to take Sasha-bear on her walk. She's been with us for 8 years, and I've never seen her decide to chew on a stick.... Unlike her sister.

Two of my favourites of all time.

The one with the remote is Norman, and he spontaneously posed like that.

The other bearded dragon is Lupin, and our dog Hayley was trying to get him to play. She was so respectful of our beardie.

Just a picture of a peaceful Sasha-bear

13 years wasn't enough time. 💔

Two couch wolves in their natural habitat. They are very happy with the weather change.

Everything is terrible right now, but I'll be damned if I don't try to make things a bit better for my kid.

In that spirit, see his Valentine's card and gift this year.

My crocheting cephalopods continues. Now he needs a nautilus. Gotta collect them all!🐙🦑

My current favourite is the Striped Pyjama Squid/Cuttlefish. Adorable! (picture from: critter.science/the-adorable...)

Here's a picture of our dog-like beardie, Vandemeer. He's the one in the front.

Norman is in the back, and he was our first dragon.

Note that they are separated by a glass barrier. We didn't house 2 male dragons together!

Here's Sacha-bear looking cozy under her blankie after eating too much snow. Blankie was made by spouse's grandmother. I think she'd appreciate Sasha having claimed it.

Hope you're feeling better!

Here's a picture not from last weekend, but our previous cold snap. Our girls are older (13 and ~11), so they feel the cold these days. We got them cute sweaters for winter solstice this year.

Our husky-mixes, Hayley and Sasha, are older girls and appreciate their solstice sweaters, especially when our furnace is (once again) having issues.

Took us a bit, but @cairolab.bsky.social and I figured out how to disable the stupid "reading assistant" on Elsevier sites.

Using Adblock Plus, go to settings, and an enable the filters shown below (and described in the alt text). #ChemSky

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃! (Or if you're in Canada, happy Thursday.)

Snow calls for minestrone soup, with fresh bread from Bonjour bakery and a D'Abruzzo wine. #ChemistsWhoCoom

@integrity.bsky.social - Am I doing this kitchen goddess thing right?
November 13, 2024 at 1:25 AM
Older sister, Hayley-bear is chilling in her bed.
November 11, 2024 at 10:52 PM
This is our Sasha-bear's favourite spot to hang out. Especially when her human is out of the house.
November 11, 2024 at 10:50 PM
I took a break from crocheting cephalopods to make some gifts for family/friends. Aren't they cute?
