Midnight frog rescue. It’s been hot and dry here and it’s going to be a scorcher today. So I’ve improvised a hopefully useful frog pond in my bathroom.

NGL I’m pretty excited about this one. My local historical society has been working on getting these records for a few years and today is the day. Over 100 years of records for our suburbs only funeral director. So much #genealogy & #LocalHistory info!! Now I just have to process them!!

It’s been a tough week and I just finished my shift at the local historical society. I have a lot of housework to do this weekend. So I’m having a little treat at the pub.

Did a little field walking while I waited for the car to get a rego check. This foundation wall with corner return is made up of both red brick and what looks to be grey sandstone. It lies on a large area of reclaimed land. It’s probably from an industrial structure related to ship building.

A fun #embroidery project snd a way to keep myself on track with housekeeping. These are transfers I inherited from my grandmother who taught me to do freestyle embroidery. Maybe change broiler to air fryer?

Q.3 We are deciding what to do with these - sell or donate. As a self-funded organisation, every cent counts and these definitely don’t fit our collection policy criteria!

Q2. Most of them are reprints of plays published earlier in the 1790’s. Most are published by John Cawthorn in Catherine Street, Strand. Is there a resource listing printers in London for this period?

#RareBook peeps. We recently got a large library donation. In it were two volumes of a set of “Select Farces” from c.1805. This isn’t my area of experience so I was hoping for some guidance.

Q1. Would the name on the left be the owner or the binder?

#genealogy people, do you have examples like this in your family history?

Mission Report: Bun better than expected (not sweet American) but not as good and slightly smaller than standard bánh mì. Has 2 creamy sauces. One has 5 spice (which I hate). Basic salad but does have spring onions. Verdict: Ok in a pinch but no real competition for the real thing.
