Rest In Peace, Jules Feiffer. Died just shy of his 96th birthday, but he was still as vital as ever, plugging away on his next book. The way 2025's been going, I'm not surprised we lost our greatest living cartoonist less than a month into it.

The devastation on its way is unimaginable - like nothing humanity has ever witnessed before - and everyone will wish they had been climate activists and ‘hysterics’ when they had the chance. We are in a moment of unprecedented stupidity

Anyone who ever said that business inherently makes things better can shove those words up their wherever.

Businesses maximize profit within the constraints of their environment. That's it.
I can hardly think of a better example of the moral decay in modern health care than a Goldman analyst noting that biotech cures for diseases like hepatitis are cool and all, until their success diminishes the business opportunity for pharmaceutical manufacturers.

The Grinch was a book and a nice cartoon you would see among holiday specials and it was sweet, a message about how Christmas comes from the heart. And now. Grinch merchandise every year to the point of nausea because that was such a great message and this is the licensed hell we live in

I can't speak for others, but he's wrong about this Democratic lawyer.

The incoming administration is betting that Democratic lawyers, environmental groups and civil libertarians have less money and appetite for drawn-out court fights than during the earlier days of the anti-Trump “resistance.”
Trump’s executive action strategy: Go ahead, sue me
Even proponents of unilateral moves such as restricting birthright citizenship and rejecting federal spending measures expect them to face litigation. That’s part of the plan.

We are entering sad times. I hope and two years maybe we can get some of this sorted out. Unfortunately, I'm kind of pessimistic right now but that's what I've got to hold on to.
