The churro cheesecake is one of the easiest, it's a really simple filling between two sheets of crescent roll dough with cinnamon and sugar.

Dad's family Thursday (I'm making two pumpkin pies, a caramel apple cheesecake, and a lemon tart), husband's family Friday (we have tacos so I make a churro cheesecake and a lemon tart by demand), and my mom's family Saturday (caramel apple cheesecake). And I cook on Wed for Thurs. Too much. 😂

But then you filled your day with study hall and/or electives. Some older kids could leave early but not everyone had a car or could get home otherwise and you had to meet certain conditions so not a lot of people did. Or you had sports or a club after school anyway.

Details vary by state here, but when I was in school in Ohio 20+ years ago we had a set number of classes in each subject area we had to take but you had some options what you took for some of those classes including basically honors classes with a test at the end for college credit. +

I do, actually! It's really interesting! I volunteered at an English language art summer camp in Poland in college, and I remember the kids talking about this but I was fuzzy on the details. It's really different! And one of the reasons the org did the camp was because kids didn't get art classes +
