NEW: Judge Immergut's says Trump's assessment of "war-ravaged" Portland was not made in "good faith" Even under a legal standard that gives the president "great deference," she said, there's no basis for "ignoring the facts on the ground."

He’s being disingenuous and lying to your face. It’s a false choice. He could offer a better bill.

Doesn't require the Leg to adopt a map.

Soliciting feedback on multiple maps. Maps you see online will be available for public comment for 10 days as long as submitted by 9/25.

After 25th, no new maps considered.

Everything from today will be uploaded by tomorrow. The Leg can't adopt a map that isn't online tomorrow, 9/25.

Sandall - there's been confusion about whether we've been ordered to recommend a map today. Court says 10-day window applies. Leg can't adopt a map that hasn't been public 10 days.

Pierucci ends- "I want to make sure we set the table" - there was a reference to the colonists who did not have representation. Just because you don't agree with the legislator's party who represents you, you're still represented. There are countries in the world-Sudan, etc. - that are authoritarian

Well, I'm out friends. Sign in to the hearing yourselves and listen in to, presumably, upcoming public comment.

If we adopt this map, we're open to legal action, based on SCOTUS.

(Her legal analysis throughout these committee hearings has been off every time. It's funny that her last comment started with, Well, I'm not a lawyer ..." Maybe she should stop lawyering.)

Gricius says she's concerned about Emigration Canyon piece - odd carveouts in Dist 2 and 3 - just one example "I have a whole list of them."

Where was Gricius when Millcreek was cut in 4? lol

"The lines are hilarious to me."

Fillmore - you said you created this map on basis of other map-what map? why does your map split so many cities/counties, which is #1 priority?

Escamilla-told we couldn't use IRC maps - started with Orange map, then reduced splits (14 to 13).

Fillmore - but prop 4 says cities shouldn't be split.
