The more this place reminds me of why I liked social media so much the more I realise that I stopped doing so a long time ago. It’s extraordinary what happened. The volume & violence of posts from accounts you had never shown the slightest interest in just exploded. It *must* have been deliberate.

A year ago I tweeted that I was taking a break from this site... and never went back. Life is much better for me without it. I didn't realize how much the constant anger and drama was affecting me until I got rid of it. Thanks@bsky.app for starting over in this lovely place.
