I think we need to make the history of these places better known. My own NJ college regularly hides that the land I lived and was educated on was a former plantation. That the college knew that when it bought the land. And outside of the sociology dept. it’s never discussed.

We’re probably going to hire pros for some big projects upcoming like a full renovation on the kitchen. I am not a hugely organized person by nature, so it is super helpful for me. You should go for it if you’re having trouble. Start with a small project as see how it goes.

No judgement here. I’ve been in my current digs for 5 years and there are still a couple boxes of stuff in the basement we never unpacked.
