An imho terribly overlooked (underrated too?) album—for the Newcomers: I only collect jazz on tape cassette. To me it’s everything I love about jazz regarding composition, arrangement and style coming together. Mingus Moves (me, baby)! Comments?

Picked up a college habit recently. Buying, reading and writing poetry like there’s no tomorrow. Compared to the major languages translated Dutch poems are such a tiny minority, but do we have great poets over here. Fat chance any of this stack has or will ever be translated. Such a shame—lucky me.

Don’t worry, I’m enjoying every note of Grant Green’s Idle Moments. Never can I listen to a Grant album though, without realizing he got buried without a tombstone. How did that happen? Anyone? And this line-up… Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Duke Pearson, Bob Cranshaw and Al Harewood. 😅

Don’t worry, I’m enjoying every note of Grant Green’s Idle Moments. Never can I listen to a Grant album though, without realizing he got buried without a tombstone. How did that happen? Anyone? And this line-up… Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Duke Pearson, Bob Cranshaw and Al Harewood. 😅
