We ran simulations to estimate EP search times based on 1) measured subdiffusion, 2) physical/genomic distance. Within 300nm (~<200 kb), a gene can find 1000s of enhancers in minutes. Such encounters can’t be selective → EP selectivity needs other mechanisms, e.g. biochemical

Now, approaching the end of my American Journey, I want to thank my postdoc mentor, Anders Sejr Hansen, who deeply supported me through the pandemic until the opening of my lab!

In the lab, we will investigate the role of chromatin regulation in development and diseases using a multidisciplinary approach! I will recruit at any level, so stay tuned for job openings, which will follow soon.
