Yes, more stops in the city, better balance between local and express service, and frequent/standardized headways daily (think trains serving all stations every 15-30 minutes daily, and express trains at some stations at least hourly). In the urban core, regional rail should operate like a metro.

But, yes, the lakefront bus routes need a redesign. But the 147 is amazing.

Also, my hot take is the 151 should terminate at LaSalle/North. There’s no reason it should go into the Loop.

Consolidate the 135, 136, and 148. Run the new route on Clarendon for northern leg from IPR with new terminus at Wilson via Lawrence/Wilson. Run it on LaSalle from North Ave/DLSD on the southern leg to Union Station.

Unfortunately, @aldconway.bsky.social is once again making disingenuous arguments against spending money on the purchase. He’s hiding behind faux concern for working class Chicagoans so he can try and sink the purchase of the terminal, which I’m sure his wealthy supporters would love to see go.
