I didn’t expect to spend over 20h with Animal Well. Got a platinum but there’s still so much more to explore and discover it’s fascinating. Such a beautiful, clever and creative game.

And it makes you feel really smart when you figure out a new and unconventional way to use a frisbee. 🥏

Per Svelte docs, effects rerun only when the object changes, not its properties.

Is there a better way than snapshots to handle cases where manually listing multiple properties like `mapFilters.showRoads` is inconvenient?
Svelte code snippet defining a state object `mapFilters` with boolean properties for map display options. The `$effect` function invokes a snapshot of the state, and checkboxes are bound to the properties for user interaction.

I just used function bindings in Svelte 5 (added in 5.9.0) for the first time, and I’m so grateful that such a useful feature is included in the framework 🥰
An example of function bindings in Svelte 5. Getter converts `platformId` to a string when getting the value. Setter parses the value as a number and updates platformId when the value changes.
