I'm really going to buy Stellar Blade on PC and play it again.
I did this with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown so I guess it happens sometimes. PlayStation State of Play was great for action-y single player games, from SB itself to Lost Soul Aside, MGSΔ, That Lies of P DLC, Onimusha, and others!

I'm really going to buy Stellar Blade on PC and play it again.

Seeing Tokyo Xtreme Racer succeed so hard after such a long hiatus against the typical AAA made racing games puts a big smile on my face.

My first game of 2025 finished! ...Wanted: Dead. The plot made no sense, the voice acting was straight out of a goofy JRPG from the PS3 era, and the feel was janky as ever.
But the combat WAS interesting. If you want a "good" bad game with style, this is definitely one of them. It's short, though.

2. Twitter's algo only shows you what you engage with, so if all you do is yell at gooners, it's just gonna show you more of them

It's nifty that I see Ace Combat 3 discussed more than the usual on BlueSky. You would think it'd be sort of obscure, but a lot of people appreciate the experimental cyberpunk-y vibes it brings!

Pretty interesting that Ace Combat 3's Hard Mode, in my opinion, is the hardest difficulty in the whole series. I think Ace Combat X's Ace Mode comes close!

Being a hardcore Ace Combat and NieR fan, it shook me to my core finding out that certain devs for Ace Combat 3...
...went on to help create Drakengard and NieR (the original one).
No wonder AC3 is way more bleak and surreal (ESPECIALLY the endgame plot and music) than the ones after it...

I find it funny that while other Ace Combat games have a tunnel section to fly through, usually at the end of the game, Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere has a whole mission as a tunnel!

While Ace Combat as a whole is awesome, the third entry, Electrosphere, is wild. Very cyberpunk and shows how surreal a corporatocracy-like world, alongside technology can get. It feels so off (and dark) compared to the messages of 4 through 7!

Reason #2657 I love Gran Turismo 4: Even if the car list had a bunch of Skylines and Miatas, it was VERY comprehensive: from sports cars to trucks to Le Mans legends to your everyday cars... and even the first patented "car"!

After many years, I still think Gran Turismo 4 has the best single player content for any racing game.
I miss racing games with good progression yet flexibility in how you progress, but also racers that encouraged or required using all car types.
(The Spec-II mod is great, btw!)
