here are the original photos the building & robot were taken from...
a Japanese gentleman in fancy evening wear stares out at the camera with a very serious expression on his face, he's standing next to a robot that towers over him. the robot has been fashioned out of sheet metal and it's waving sheepishly at the camera...this is a vintage black and white photo and looks like it's from the 1930s or 40s. an extremely Art Deco brick house, it has dramatic planes and rounded edge surfaces. i seem to remember hearing that these house were basically kits you could buy plans for.

my younger brother works at Disney, 3 yrs ago they had an employee pumpkin carving contest...he gave me $100 & let me have my way with a pumpkin

here's what i did (he won btw)

here's the first book i bought with my own money...i got it for a dollar at a garage sale...it's from 1897 & it had a couple of political campaign ribbons as book marks from that period...i sold those for a couple of hundred bucks to a dealer shortly after i bought it

i still have it
a burgundy leather bound book with a gold embossed image in an Art Nouveau style that says "Dante". it's an 1897 edition of "The Divine Comedy".
