The cover of The Silver Surfer, issue #2. Less wordy than the previous issue, this merely settles for the Sentinel of the Spaceways header above the title and a box reading When Lands The Saucer! This is also a much more action oriented cover since it has Surfer blasting a green reptilian alien with the Power Cosmic. The alien is carrying a cross between a rocket launcher and laser gun and is wearing purple trunks and wristbands so he's presumably been raiding both Tony Stark's garbage and the Incredible Hulk's wardrobe.

The cover of Starriors #1. Like yesterday's comic, this was part of a four issue limited series that was based on a toyline featuring robots but, unlike, Transformers, it never went past that. Below the Starriors title is the text "The Quest Begins". The cover itself is an image of the main hero Starriors, Crank, Hotshot, and Cut-Up walking towards the viewer. The background is a field of stars and the foreground is the planet Earth as seen from orbit. Starriors was a spinoff of the Zoids franchise that never really caught on and future plans for it were set aside; this four issue series and a half dozen or so minicomics also by Marvel were all that were produced. So overall better than Ani-Max, worse than Crystar or Air Raiders.

The cover of the second issue of the The Transformers comic by Marvel. The Transformers was originally just intended to run as a four issue limited series and the top of the cover bills it as such but the series wound up running twenty times that. Below the titles the text Optimus Prime vs Megatron and that is indeed what the cover is about. Megatron is getting the better of his opponent since he has a hostage in the form of Sparkplug Witwicky while the latter's son Buster and their friend Bumblebee watch in horror

A coffee mug featuring the attack zombie and the brat. The box it arrived in was smashed flat and a cat knocked it off a shelf about six feet off the floor but, like the characters it proudly displays, it remains intact despite the unwarranted abuse it has received.

The back cover of Vol. 1 along with sketches of the Brat and the Zombie, who are also on the back cover. Setter has clearly just relieved somebody of a purse that they couldn't secure and therefore don't deserve and Duane is performing magic. I missed the first Kickstarter all those years ago so I only have two sketches to go with the three volumes and it eats at my very soul.

The cover of Unsounded Vol. 2: The Perils of Civilization. On it, we see the zombie, now in irritated attack mode, the brat, now concerned, another brat (though with white hair), and the other brat's young son, who also has a white hair and is a good kid with excellent character all things considered. This is a scene of a showdown that involves, on one side, insects that are of various sizes and shapes but all of magical origin and on the other somebody that has very strong feelings about insects on account of the whole being a zombie thing.

The cover of Unsounded Vol. 1: The Zombie and the Brat, who are also who we see on the cover. The zombie is doing fancy magicky things as he is wont to do and the brat is being her regal self. Unsounded is easily one of the greatest fantasy works I've ever read to the point that I could easily gush on more than the amount of space these alt text boxes allow and the second half is going to begin soon.

The first issue of the Dark Horse release of Dominion Conflict One: (No More Noise) by Masamune Shirow. The cover has Leona Ozaki and the Puma Sisters, Anna and Uni, riding a Bonaparte tank towards the viewer. A plane is crashing in the background along with other implied chaos since this is Tank Police. This is the second series so the Bonaparte is a production model rather than the special vehicle cobbled together out of Brenten's Tiger Special. So it has a white and dark gray paint job instead of the green.

The first issue of a two part Marvel series of The Dark Crystal. A text box on the cover calls it The Official Adaptation of the Jim Henson Epic Fantasy Adventure Film. On the cover, Jen and Mother Aughra are being menaced by two Garthim, one in the background and one in the lower right. This has some interesting twists to it; the skekSis segments follow the viewpoint of skekUng the Garthim Master and is based on a script that still uses earlier elements. TRIAL BY STONE isn't in there yet; the ritual is still called haakskeekah at this point but all of the other skekSis dialogue is in a broken English.

Here's the actual cover but I don't think my copy ever actually had it. Hard to say though since this is the first comic I ever owned. At the very least, I don't remember this cover.
The cover of HDLJW 81; Donald has made the mistake of taking the boys camping and is paying for by being blasted awake by a bugle in each ear while a third nephew looks at his watch. Which nephew? Not a clue but it's not like they had distinct personalities in those days. Side note, my phone apparently hates the word bugles and thinks it should be burlesque instead.

The first page of the 81st issue of Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Junior Woodchucks. The page has has three panels and the usual publishing information below them. The top two thirds of the page is a splash panel with the title Lost Horse Canyon in the upper right corner. In the panel, the Junior Woodchucks are walking with a scout leader who is telling them about a burro ride down into the titular canyon. The bottom two panels show them arriving at the burro rental dealership while discussing wild horses that used to be in the area.

Even counting the Commie Smasher issues only puts previous Cap comics at seventy-eight issues. On the cover is Captain America, charging towards the viewer. Behind him, from left to right, are Black Panther, Iron Man, Giant Man, Thor, Sharon Carter as Agent 13, Wasp, and Namor. The other side of yesterday's equation.

This is the 31st issue of the Showcase series and features the title characters surrounded by a menacing horde of sea creatures; Aqualad is expressing dismay at this. Sure is a shame there wasn't somebody there whose entire powered is built around being able to talk to sealife or they could easily extricate themselves from this peril.
