While I understand the hesitation, there are a few things against them.
Trump has to release them now.
Now I get the concern of what may be "scrubbed" from it, but the problem they have right now is that there are Biden admin people that HAVE seen these files and would be able to corroborate.

Favre had knowledge, accuracy and veteran intuitions.
Keenum had Moxy, heart and drive.
And wouldn't ya know, both got us to an NFCCG.
