RIP Richard Chamberlain. Talented, handsome, humble, kind. A familiar face when I was growing up.

Dr Kildare, Shogun, The Thorn Birds, The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Slipper and the Rose, The Man in the Iron Mask.

I loved them all. He starred in many other versatile roles ❤️

Wonder what's going on with Carlisle United? Not many rungs left below them in League Two. And, er..... Nottingham Forest? Premier League survival on the edge!

Dragons' Den is back this week. Can't believe it's been 20 years! That's right, it was early January 2005. And I (and some of my co-workers) were instantly addicted. I remember those days ❤️

Massive thanks to @aplante.com for this gem.

Recipe for BEEF FUDGE

Yes, fudge made with chocolate chips, marshmallow, vanilla, and beef. Leftover roast beef will do nicely "for extra crunchiness" and "nutrition".

Better than jerky I suppose. Well, actually it's pretty much the same. Chocolatey.

Was just thinking that I'd better get some Saint Agur blue cheese on Tuesday. I was seduced by their "get on with it!" TV advertising.

Lots of cheaper blue cheese and Stilton everywhere. Why pay 3x more for premium brand Saint Agur? With less cheese in the packaging?

The power of #advertising 🫰💰💥

Elon Musk. Expert opinion. Who knew? What a total idiot. Trump's second in command. Heaven help us 🤡🤡

I was touched to read all the loving tributes to President Jimmy Carter, the US president of my Seventies childhood.

Always on the news, smiling, shaking hands, making speeches - he was a familiar face when I was at infants and junior school.

A superb peacemaking leader and humanitarian. RIP 🇺🇸🙏❤️

Like this one playing right now on UK Gold radio -

Queen 'Thank God It's Christmas'

Wonderful stuff ❤️

So looking forward to Christmas. And my debut with #Aldi champagne. If you stuck a Moet et Chandon label on the front and served this to guests they would love it. And then served the real Moet later, they would prefer the first one. Because Moet is harsh, acidic and an acquired taste. Ditch it! 🍾🥂

Azealea Banks vs The 1975. She doesn't like Thailand, that's for sure. Inexcusable comments to put it mildly. Let's just leave it there.

Bone dry, bland 'treats' that you endure, not enjoy. That's Maryland Sugar Free Choc Chip cookies.

And you can only eat a maximum of three. Not just because they taste like cardboard, but because the polyols (sugar alcohols) they are made with often cause stomach upset.

Sahara Biscuits they are 😬

Really does look fabulous. Captured the essence of those times. In fashion, culture, decor, cars, science, language, and weather (that's right!)

I was there. I remember IVF as a huge victory when I was a child in the late Seventies.

"Test tube baby" were the words on everyone's lips.

#Joy indeed.

Don't forget to stick your flag to the bonnet with Blu Tack.

You'll be so convincing 🤫

From America. But applies equally to the UK. We can't sort ourselves out can we.

So after saying hi, my first two posts are about Tulisa Contostavlos. Not a bad start. So here's another one. Happy days! ✌️ #Tulisa #ImACeleb
