This brave young fellow, although dropping his doctorate dreams, chose to work in his friend's #startup which ultimately folded - but he draws the most valuable lessons and job skills from it. He still has the Ph.D option of course, now better equipped for it.

I was accepted into my dream Ph.D. program but chose to join a startup instead. The company folded in a year.
I was accepted into a Ph.D. program, but I was offered a job at a startup that excited me. The company folded in less than a year, and I felt lost.

Roll on Easter. I'll get five precious, wonderful days off. Not long to wait. Shame I can't eat hot cross buns any more. But I've got champagne. It's all good 🥂

So true about the late, much-loved, and much-missed Richard Chamberlain. He was a leading man in an era when leading men were different compared to now. We would call it 'old school' now. But his masculinity, charm and appeal was more genuine, wholesome and clean cut.

When the Biggest Series Were Mini, Richard Chamberlain Was TV’s Mega Star
The actor, who died at 90, was the most compelling face of a maximalist, soapy television era.

Not so much a masterclass in salt, just a brilliant masterclass in making kimchi. From a Korean family. Of course. Where any directions and recipe should come from. Naturally.

I luuurve kimchi 🇰🇷😋✌️❤️❤️

For a Master Class in Salt, Try Making Kimchi
There are many recipes for the fermented Korean staple—typically made with cabbage, chili powder, and aromatics—but all of them put salt at the center.

RIP Richard Chamberlain. Talented, handsome, humble, kind. A familiar face when I was growing up.

Dr Kildare, Shogun, The Thorn Birds, The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Slipper and the Rose, The Man in the Iron Mask.

I loved them all. He starred in many other versatile roles ❤️

Isn't it weak, vacillating, and excruciating how people who at one time were solid in democratic and empathetic opinions (and would take a stand against injustice) are now accepting, embracing and publicly agreeing with oppressive dictats from the likes of Trump. What happened to the Bulldog Breed?

Sara Davies is one of my favourite entrepreneurs. No nonsense, relatable and with a company that isn't some Silicon Valley type, venture capitalist tech darling. Its a homely, hobbyish, greetings card, craft business that she's managed to scale to serious success.

Love how they described Victoria Beckham's style as 'Y2K' ❤️ And the reference to her outfit choices in 2006 ❤️ We dressed well then. Light years better than now. I did too. Very mid-Noughties. Great days ❤️

Wonder what this coming week has in store for me. Proposed two new ideas at work. A bit revolutionary for them, but they're simple process revisions.

So, yes, they probably are 'revolutionary' to them.

James Watt belongs to that business world inhabited by the likes of Philip Green, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, that Ryanair pillock etc. Phenomenonally successful, but regarded with well-deserved public distaste for their actions and policies. A pariah essentially.

George Clarke's Amazing Spaces is the kind of programme that needs a warm fire, curtains closed, and a wee dram. Weird or what? Nah, it's true. It brings out the armchair architect or interior designer in *most* of us.

Listening to Chris de Burgh on Spotify isn't the coolest thing to do on a Sunday afternoon (and he's got to be the most uncool singer ever, well one of them!) but got to say he does write and sing some real understated classics #DontPayTheFerryman #ASpacemanCameTravelling #ChrisDeBurgh
