Historian of Indigenous America, writer of books, and hearer of bands you’ve never heard in dingy clubs you’ve not likely visited. Good at trivia.

Gave a talk on Thursday where I aired out a small piece of a very large forthcoming book, and it went over pretty well which is a big relief.

You know what? Investigate them all. Democrat and Republicans. Throw them all in jail if necessary. Like I care what happens to Larry Summers.

Long ago, my mother’s family was made up of Irish immigrants to New York City. Last night was a good night. Though I have never lived in NYC, I was very much inspired by Mamdani’s decisive victory over the old people who have failed to address such screamingly obvious problems.

The last time I saw my mom and we sat together at the board and care facility where she stayed in California, we watched the Jane Goodall documentary. It was beautiful. Important.

Over the last three and a half weeks, they both have died. I find myself feeling the weight of this heavy autumn.

First of all, Fuck You, Hegseth. It’s literally the CONGRESSIONAL Medal of Honor. Congress can enact the “Remove the Stain” Act anytime it wants. Not your call Rumbo.
2nd, their place in history is indeed settled, with the Paxton Boys, the Gnadenhutten child killers, and the Sand Creek mutilators.

We must remember that a steadfast commitment to white supremacy lies at the heart of Trump’s America. Views like these are more widely, and deeply, shared than you think.
Resist.

Welp, my representative voted in favor of the resolution praising Charlie Kirk. He is awful and needs to be challenged by someone from the democratic wing of the Democratic Party.

Lest anyone doubt the fundamental racism of the Trump Administration. White Supremacy rests at the heart of this nasty movement.
