Huge public education protest this morning outside the kinsmen.

As municipal election advance polls open today, lots of animosity towards both Danielle Smith and her UCP proxies like Tim Cartmell and his Better Edmonton Party.

Did you know Edmonton has a 228th street? More sprawl means more tax increases, service cuts, or both.

What are they trying to avoid or distract us from? Whistleblower Peter Guthrie got kicked out of cabinet? Their expensive forays into Public Healthcare? The rural municipal uprising over the orphan wells? Facilitating the plunder of the Rockies for foreign billionaires?

I hate being stuck in traffic. The best way to reduce traffic is to provide alternatives that are fast, safe, and reliable that get people out of traffic into alternatives.

One of the perplexing things about the UCP incursion into local autonomy is the about-face from last fall.

Today it is bike lanes. Tomorrow it might be arts funding or sports programs or facility rentals.

For better or worse, the Minister should render unto munis that which are munis.

This is not about bike lanes, this is about distracting Albertans from the Corruptcare scandal. Stay focused. Call a public inquiry. Reach out to me and let’s talk about what we can do together.

Housing policies are affordability policies.

Even if council had split the cost of the arena with Katz 50/50, we would have an additional $16.5 million a year to spend on civic priorities.

If we want to revitalize shopping malls, may I humbly suggest whatever entrepreneur puts an indoor play place into City Centre might do quite well with all the downtown and transit connected families! Swimming lessons at the Y are packed on weekends!

A grade six student used the word “neoliberalism” today during my classroom visit.

If the world is getting you down, get organized. Build community. The Edmonton Transit Riders are doing a pop-up at WEM transit centre tomorrow. Do something. Don’t be alone scrolling.

Temperature swings we have been experiencing result in a higher-than-average number of potholes on roads across Edmonton.

Edmonton has added night shifts to regular day shifts to ensure pothole operations can continue 24/7!

We need a lot more housing choices in our city. Here’s a real 3 bedroom renting now on Fb in a row house that can give many families a foothold close to schools/transit.

We need to welcome more row housing into Edmonton lest we follow the path of Toronto.
