It’s official: The Life of a Showgirl is now on repeat…I’m obsessed. I knew this one would grow on me…Reminds me of how averse I was to Lover at first, until, eventually, I heard the brilliance of so many tracks on it. But I still stand by many of my sentiments for @thelineofbestfit.com

Read my review of Taylor Swifts new album, The Life of a Showgirl. When all is said and done, I have a feeling this one’s gonna grow on me.
On Taylor Swift's 12th album The Life Of A Showgirl, she's less interested in making grand statements and more concerned with capturing fleeting feelings - to radically diminishing returns.

Ethel Cain really delivered with her new album, Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You. This one’s a stunner. The mixing is immaculate, and Cain stretches her vocals in new, subtly aching ways. “Waco, Texas” had me in tears!

I had TSHA’s “Girls,” featuring Rose Gray, on repeat this year. Another favorite from 2024, eclectic excellence from a true queen of the dance floor.

I felt so much nostalgia while reviewing Bright Eyes’ Five Dice, All Threes. They were my favorite in high school, and prove that they still have that 2000s indie charm on this record.

With Five Dice, All Threes, Bright Eyes prove they can still evoke both intimacy and grandiosity.
