Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and I aren’t on the same page about some important policy objectives, but I think she’s spot on about the Democratic Party, and I’d rather have an ally I can work with than a political twin who obstructs progress.

Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and I aren’t on the same page about some important policy objectives, but I think she’s spot on about the Democratic Party, and I’d rather have an ally I can work with than a political twin who obstructs progress.

Calling fascists stupid is part of what gives them their strength, because we underestimate them & take them less seriously.
This was true with many authoritarians who were seen as clowns. But it’s true on a broader level too: the far right has learned to perfect appearing less savvy than they are.
