No moving goalposts, I assumed we were talking federal level politics this whole time because Democrats and Republicans at the local level are fairly indistinguishable. But my lived experience IS in a red state.

But Democrats and Republicans don't exist in vacuums. Republicans shoved the Overton window right and Democrats have to operate in that space. Perhaps the voting record has maintained its political direction. But the D party CLEARLY courts a fantasy centrist voter rather than the go to the left.

Does this graph not prove this person's point exactly? The R went more right but the D didn't go more left. The net result would be getting drug to the right.

I had to watch the local news loop three times at the auto shop yesterday. It does nothing to inform citizens on local news. It is simply a consent manufacturing machine.

But I don't really want health insurance. I want to walk into a doctor's office and receive care and walk out again, only retrieving my wallet for identification. I don't really care to see Democrats fight tooth and nail for ACA subsidies, I want the healthcare free at point of service!

Our labor is our power. They couldn't go weeks without it, risking all of our lives in a pandemic. Withholding our labor is where our power as working people truly rests. We could change the world if we made our work taking care of each other through a massive general strike and beyond.
