Heartbreaking loss: juvenile humpback whale (~8m) entangled & drowned in shark net off NSW coast. Shark nets don’t necessarily do what we assume -- protect beach-goers -- and pose serious risks to sharks, whales, dolphins, turtles, and other non-target animals.
