Festifall 3 Update from Court My Jan. 23 court date, I was tremendously grateful to have so many supporters pack the court! The state played many games, saying only defendants could be in the courtroom, and that the UfM case would be called much later, and everyone would be allowed in once we were called. I advocated for myself that I had the right to have some people with me, and I won! After a bit of time, I was able to follow my incredible attorney out of the courtroom, and join all my supporters! Huge thank you to those who came! Winning is possible, when we fight together Festifall 3 Update from Court The state tried waiting us out, hoping that our numbers would dwindle, but most people stuck out the wait. As those who had to go left, more people came, and throughout the entire day I felt so much support and radical love! The assistant attorney general, Hoffman, delayed her appearance for quite some time, because we know the state's charges are politically motivated and baseless. When a cop learned I was the only in person defendant, he and the rest of them were appalled at all the numbers we had. They had to accommodate us, clearing the court, to have room for us all. Winning is possible, when we fight together Festifall 3 Update from Court I even connected to other people facing charges about how we can share resources and support each other, as it's all of us against the state. Additionally, I want to point out Black x Palestinian solidarity is historical. Black organizers are specifically being targeted to try and divide us, but we will not let that happen. We will not let any of us be isolated and targeted. We will win and we will maintain solidarity, strengthening it through this struggle. We know the fight against repression is one fight for the fight for Palestine. We will keep fighting! We will not leave anyone behind Festifall 3 Update from Court Court was adjourned, as the state didn't pass on discovery until yesterday evening, and still not all of it. I didn't get out of my 12:30pm court date until 4pm. Again, I want to express my gratitude to all the people who came, who sent kind messages, who shared the call to action. We CAN win, when we build community. We can win against the state, we can win divestment, Palestinian liberation and the liberation of us all is possible.
