Made papadam for the 2nd time. Pressed and rolled much thinner and didn't dry them quite as much. Big improvement. Next time I'll dry slightly less and fry in somewhat cooler oil. But together with mango chutney they're great!

We rake twice a yr in Austin. Post oak and burr oak in fall, live ok in spring. This is live oak is about half fallen.

Crow poison cropped and tweaked a little. Also called rainweed. We had a little rain tho other night. There may be a lot 🤞today and Friday so I'll have another look. These are actually tiny little lilies.

I don't know why but I really enjoy making chili. Soaking then cooking beans. Browning beef then onions, garlic and spice/herb mix. And finally tomato sauce, diced, and chiles. Slow cooked to bring out the flavor. And months of frozen leftovers.
