This was our first ever sticker winner in Spring 2018, made by 5 10th graders in Chula Vista, CA after a lesson from our list on “Learning about Refugees through Art.” What do youth want to say today, in any media? Invite them to say it by February 27, this year’s deadline. Submit at USvsHate.org.

"Stephen Miller’s own Jewish ancestors came seeking this same refuge circa 1900. Miller has spent his career crafting exclusions for others seeking the same."

I wrote this Conversation Starter after exploring my own family, & U.S. history. Share if it resonates.

Refuel by listening to positive youth voices. All year, youth have created beautiful anti-hate, pro-inclusion messaging for schools in #USvsHate.

We’ll invite messaging for community settings too next year.

I researched & wrote this raw family history during the first Trump administration, to fill a gaping hole in my knowledge about undocumented immigration --- & my own family.

Please read with today's harms to immigrants in mind--& give it to someone still learning (as am I). tinyurl.com/j8pa77jb

This looks like Florida’s rubric for reviewing K12 texts for adoption.

Same punchline: demonize some people/ideas, take opportunity away from everyone.

Is BlueSky good for floating rough draft ideas?

I keep returning to “Keep improving, don’t ban” as a strategy to protect K12 efforts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Hi, BlueSky! Zoom in to find me. I’m an education professor. I help people grapple with race/opportunity/diversity issues in K12 schools. I’ve been researching/critiquing efforts to restrict race- and diversity-related work in K12. Let's improve public schools to support every young person instead.
