good old zero one inflation.

A lot of happy-excited moments in Spain during covid?

So that is why you don't prompt people once a day for an entire year... #OpenESM - data from openesmdata.org/datasets/001...

TIL that Dale invented the heartbeat counting task, not Schandry, and that it was known from the very first study that people underestimated their heart rate. It was orginally called a heart rate estimation task! journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf/10.2...

We definitely agree with Clemens here- hence why we developed a heart *rate* discrimination task!

Fall is here!

Baking is pretty fun! These 25% whole grain spelt bøller came out great. 😊

That’s a wrap on #ebps2025! I’ve learned a lot and made some great new colleagues. Couldn’t think of a better way to end the summer than in sunny Almeria! Thanks to all the organizers and attendees - see you in Cork!

Now @marieeikemo.bsky.social presenting her work on within subject variation in response to opioids #ebps2025
September 18, 2025 at 3:22 PM
@sirileknes.bsky.social opening our #ebps2025 session on dense sampling studies in pain and interoception. Come to sala2 to catch it now!

Not a bad spot for a conference! Happy to be in sunny Almeria for #EBPS2025

although, actually, you mentioned hunger/cravings/etc directly - and those show linear reductions. here is GI symptoms and and interoception examples (pls excuse the rough plots!)
September 15, 2025 at 5:17 PM
here is a network level plot of just the salience network. Not sure what to make of it yet (could also just be noise!).
September 15, 2025 at 5:11 PM
tough to say at a network level just yet! this visualization is mostly for fun. zooming into the insula, we see a biphasic response where early treatment decreases inter-hemispheric and posterior to anterior connectivity (vs control V1 region). Still working on the network level analyses.

semaglutide treatment! 🏋️‍♀️
September 15, 2025 at 4:27 PM
A movie of how posterior insula connectivity changes over the course of an intervention. #wip

I think this might be the first ever, in human demonstration of pharmacological effect of semaglutide on gastric rhythm frequency. Strong initial increase followed by habituation?
September 12, 2025 at 9:59 PM
Uh oh, feeling tempted to do a new thing I definitely don’t have time for… #GastroPy

Check out our shiny app for Bayesian power analysis of interoceptive psychophysics!
September 5, 2025 at 7:41 AM
We also constructed a framework for simulation based power analysis using our generative modelling framework. The fitted models span a range of designs, trial counts, and sample sizes, and are provided with a working Shiny app you can use to perform efficient design analyses!
