NYC is my beloved city. I believe in the scientific method, I love art, I love music, but it makes me cry. I care about people no matter their demographics. America is in trouble, and I want to help.
Now the Senate has become the place where legislation goes to die. Presidents have resorted to taking more power and Congress focuses on stuffing everything possible into annual reconciliation bill. It’s a total mess

Filibuster started when Aaron Burr forgot to put a procedure for ending debate in the rules. That led to talking filibuster which turned into modern filibuster

The Constitution authorizes simple majority in both House and Senate to pass legislation. Some at the convention argued for super majorities but were outvoted.

I want them to seize the 300 billion in frozen Russian money, spend whatever is needed to ensure victory for Ukraine and put the rest toward reconstruction.

My governmental pet peeve. I hate the filibuster.

I long for a time when days, weeks and months pass and we won’t have had a single thought about Donald J Trump!
November 24, 2025 at 12:15 AM
It actually takes 67 votes to convict in the Senate. If Rs wouldn’t do it after coming under attack on 1/6, they never will.

Too bad they’re not oppressed, like white South Africans. 🤮

EU has the righteous outlook, but constantly show sluggish timidity when bold action is imperative. They haven’t even seized the 300 billion in frozen Russian money yet—what are they waiting for??

They need to be more specific about how they will protect anyone refusing illegal orders. They don’t even seem able to do anything to prevent bogus DOJ investigations of fellow members of Congress. Conversely, military knows that Trump can and will protect them from prosecution for war crimes.

I can’t stand Sean Duffy, but I have seen truly appalling behavior on planes. In our grandparent’s day, only the wealthiest people could afford to fly, so they expected luxury.

Why post articles with paywalls?

Is that 30% the same people keeping Trump’s dismal approval rating from total collapse? We have more deprogramming to do.

It's particularly poignant to hear her mention her work assembling her East Wing staff. Not exactly worth $40 million though.
November 22, 2025 at 9:01 PM
I don’t know but Senate requires 60 votes to pass legislation.

Why weren’t more people skeptical when he talked about his novel discovery of that esoteric word “grocery“????
November 22, 2025 at 8:04 PM
We needed doctors to tell us that? How long has the term “wake and bake” been around.
November 22, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Not really. Trump’s approval is cratering. He’s stupid, but he can spot a star to hitch his wagon to.
November 22, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Hasn’t the example of Mike Pence taught these people anything? You can’t build equity in the bank of Trump. You could slobber over him for a lifetime, but enrage him once and you’re out.

The unacceptable one as before. Ukraine gives up territory Russia hasn’t even managed to conquer and Ukraine gets nothing. Meanwhile, Russia is going to hell—they are resorting to get payments from China on delivery of oil sometime in the future.
November 22, 2025 at 3:49 PM
They are very similar, and Trump has used Russians for illicit loans and money laundering from waaayy back.
I bet Putin detests windmills and low water pressure in his bathrooms too.

Our government is pouring funds into AI with huge question marks about how it will affect society. Yet Trump is yanking all Biden-era funds to develop green energy because he’s an idiot climate science denier.
We can’t rely on individuals choosing more expensive energy short term.

What person of integrity could the current FBI or Intel service possibly recruit???????
