4. What can + can't they do? New guidelines were issued on 10 Feb. In short: #HIV treatment, but no #PrEP, unless it's for pregnant of breastfeeding women. No #HIV testing for PrEP and #VMMC. And no DEI, abortions, contraception, travel to conferences or gender ideologies.

3. #Pepfar-funded orgs can't resume work, or have funds released, unless it's approved by their Pepfar agency officer (agencies = US gov bodies such as USAids, CDC, NIH, etc). Reports have to be submitted every 30 days - 1st one due on 28 Feb

2. #Pepfar-funded orgs (once approved by their agency officer) can restart activities - but ONLY for stipulated services. They can't be involved in family planning, abortions, #gender acitivities. Pepfar won't pay for "non-lifesaving"services like #transgender surgeries.

[Thread] BREAKING: On 1 Feb the US State dpt issued a memo confirming that #HIV programmes funded by #Pepfar have been granted a limited waiver for:
1. #ARVs for the treatment of #HIV
2. #TB treatment + prevention meds
2. #PMTCT services (incl #PrEP)
