Processing #daisyfleabane today. It’s been a joy to see them take over my yard and provide food for pollinators (kill yr lawn). I always take a little for myself, too, to keep on hand. This plant has an interesting history within #herbalism. Pictured here next to library books and pottery projects.

Extreme cold spells (relative thing) haven’t stopped the emerald ash borer in Nashville. It would have to be colder than it’s ever been to eradicate enough larvae (-20, -30) to make a big difference. Cold has certainly slowed their progress in the North compared to Southern states.
