No plans this weekend? The 22nd annual Poetry Weekend festival is happening at Memorial Hall on UNB campus! Here’s the schedule! (The poets marked in red are poets with chapbooks I published.)

On Thursday I visited our bike shed only to find that my bike was stolen! Ah, well. Now I'm "officially" a Freddy resident. Plus, it offered the perfect writing prompt for that day's session!

I figure now would be a good time to actually establish a consistent writing practice (mere days before my PhD program begins). I'm at 2 hrs/day, 4 days running. About 5k words. Better late than never! 💪🖋️💪🖋️

I forget about this platform sometimes, but I should share this here: I was honored to host a workshop titled "Creative Activist Approaches to Archival Research" with an incredible team of scholars & writers at #FemRhet2025. Thanks to all who attended & offered their insights!

If you're still buzzing from #FemRhet2025, consider submitting to Peitho's upcoming special issue, Academia in Crisis: How Feminist Rhetorical Scholars Respond. As our time together at the conference made clear, the value of feminist rhetorics is higher now than ever.

I tell you what, it was pretty simple and easy to explain the existence of trans people to my kid (at age 5) and it is going to be WAY harder to explain to him why masked and hooded people grabbed a Tufts student off the street in a neighborhood he's in often

At a busy intersection in Quebec City this weekend, a woman (chewing loudly on a pastry) knocked on my car's window and said in English: "I heard what your governor said to that bully! Good woman!"
