A DHS statement claimed “an individual approached US Border Patrol officers” with “a handgun” in the Alex Pretti shooting incident. A Bellingcat analysis of the footage appears to show that a gun was taken away from where Pretti was situated by an agent just before the first shot was fired.

As someone who has worked the polls for the last few elections, vote-by-mail makes the in-person activities go smoother for both electors and poll workers. Although it's not hard work, a 14-hour shift for senior citizens can be its own kind of grueling, and nobody likes waiting in lines.
