Found a knit 🧶 I started back in June 2024. As a learner, I may have 'bitten off more than I can stitch' , still giving it a whirl. I think it is alright, a few mishaps, still pleased. I intend it finished before October's end this year. #knitsky #learningknit #knitrocks #knittingaustralia

I called her 'Rosemarie', this is my prototype number 5. I used a vintage Coats #crochet thread in size 10. No pattern is available for this design. Prototype number 3 of my 'Rosemarie' doily. This is my design, there is no pattern available. Crochet thread size 10 was used in a shade called Comfrey. The pink (Indian Rose) prototype is number 2, the Ecru is prototype number 1 (the 1st design). Both made using vintage crochet thread size 20. I named her after my Mum 'Rosemarie' Doily.

'Triangular Scarf Chalastre' designed by Claudia Tesar. Pattern is available on Ravelry. I experimented with a larger hook, as I wanted lighter, softer and more drape. I achieved my goal!
Triangular Scarf Chalastre, a design by Claudia Tesar. I have folded the scarf to form a long scarf falling at the front of the mannequin. It rolls around the back of the neck for warmth, and is pinned in the front to secure. This is a large scarf, purposefully made as such. Folded as in the photo, the points of the scarf pass the mannequins knees! The scarf measures after blocking 236.5cm x 126cm (93 inch x 49.5 inch). Triangular Scarf Chalastre, a design by Claudia Tesar. I have folded the scarf so the point falls at the front of the mannequin. The points of the triangle drape around the back of the neck for warmth and fall down the front. Dahlia flower 'purple ball'. Part open flower still has the golden bud in the centre. It is a burgundy pinkish purple shade. Frangipani flowers, 'Fruit Salad'. Golden yellow centres with bright Relish pink petal tips and edges. It has an aroma similar to fruit salad. Ginger flower, 'Siam Shadow'. The top of the flower stem has large pink petals with brown 'painted' tips. The base of the pink petals has like little green dishes. Tint iris like lillies open in each one. One can be seen here, it is iris purple blue, with yellow streaked throat. There are more tiny lilies yet to open. Dahlia 'Apricot', a pretty delicate orange colour.

Two of bread and butter Pickles and two of Italian Pickled Peppers. Both made today, the 8th February, 2025. The Pickled Peppers are rather colourful due to three coloured capsicums (bell peppers) being used. They are red, yellow and green. My scarf/shawl I am about to hook, it will be a handy make for our coming Winter. The pattern is called: Triangular Scarf Chalastre, designed by Claudia Tesar. The yarn is from Skip Rope Yarn Co.. The yarn variety is called So Twisted Sock, a 4 ply (fingering) weight yarn, the colour is called True Teal.
