I drove to and from Calgary this past weekend. Most cars were driving over the limit on a congested road. Many cars passed me going > 140 kms/ hour. I really hate that drive.

Imagine how much faster and unsafe the traffic will be if the limit is raised to 120, as it is on the Coquihalla.

The UCP created an open-ended recall law that has almost no guardrails as a weapon to use against the opposition. The legislation is being used exactly as it was intended, even if the target has become UCP, rather than NDP, MLAs.

The UCP had every opportunity and likely received advice to narrow the scope of the recall law to what Nicolaides falsely claims is the spirit of the law. The law was created as a weapon to use against the opposition. That's the spirit of the law. Hoisted on their own petard is a fitting description
