Just earlier tonight by 15-lb beefus of a cat tried doing the same to me in my office chair!
A frankly monstrous grey tabby cat dozes peacefully on his owner's lap. The cat lies on his side, somewhat stretched out, with his face partially mashed into his owner's belly. One foreleg is crossed in front of the other. You would think he learned to sleep from watching people, rather than other cats, and you may just be right.

I got access to crayons and kraft paper. Of course I drew Trogdor. And then my 14yo showed me his skills of an artist!

He wonders who can guess what the li'l guy next to his thumbs-up is. I got it wrong.

The end result: a crusty loaf with a dense, frankly spongy crumb. Possibly slightly underbaked at the bottom? Very light flavour. My partner identified pretty quickly that I'd left out the salt in the recipe, so definitely some better attention to detail is called for for the next attempt.

My favourite local bakery and cafe, Pan Chancho, published a couple of cookbooks with recipes that they use in-house, and my partner came home with one of them a couple of weeks ago. I finally got a chance to try making some bread from their pain ordinaire... looks like it turned out pretty well!
Two home-baked batard loaves, which is a long, broad French loaf of bread, cooling on wire racks on a black countertop. The loaves are pale and the slashes often seen on French bread are quite shallow and somewhat hard to distinguish. One loaf's exterior texture is much smoother than the other. They're certainly not expertly made, but for an amateur baker, they're at least reasonable.

Got the latest Bluesky update? Great! Alas, the developers changed how replies are ordered that, while it will provide for vibrancy flywheels, changes a behaviour you may have preferred.

Setting > Content > Threads > Sort replies to a post by "hotness"? No thanks. Chronological for me!

For sorting replies, five options are given: "Hot replies first," which brings replies to the top that, themselves, have more interactions; "Oldest replies first," "Newest replies first," "Most liked first," and "Random, also known as Poster's Roulette," all of which seem fairly self-explanatory. I've selected "newest replies first," to maintain the generally reverse-chronological order that seems to work well on Bluesky.

My cat is broken. He likes being cuddled in arms, being upside-down, and (failing at) suckling my other male cat's nipples.

And yet, I wouldn't have him any other way.

She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts--this bagel can go point-five past light schmear.

I have to say, the toolkit in Xanathar's Guide to Everything is fantastic for coming up with character background. I started with "LN Echo Knight soldier working for the Flaming Fists," and now I've got, like, his whole family and backstory worked out!
Handwritten notes on grid paper for a new Dungeons and Dragons character. It includes not only background basics, that he's an infantry soldier, likes to face his problems head on, and has the Two-Weapon Fighting style, but also much more detailed points, based on the tables in Xanathar's. He has 4 younger siblings, one of whom he has a hostile relationship with, was raised by a single mother, has met with both tragedy and good fortune, and has held several mercenary jobs in his forty-odd years. His siblings' careers run the gamut, and most are alive and well. All done with rolls of the dice!

Sam says, meowy Christmas!
Sam, a tuxedo cat missing is right eye, is curled up like a loaf on the skirt of a Christmas tree. The tree is lit, and he gazes at the photographer, wondering what on Earth I want. It's unclear whether Sam understands the holiday, or is just enjoying the warm, non-hardwood-floor surface.
