1/ The thymus is essential for T-cell maturation, protecting us from pathogens while ensuring tolerance to our own tissues. 🧬 This balance is maintained by the thymic epithelium, which, in mammals, birds, and bony fish, develops from the 3rd/4th pharyngeal pouches during embryogenesis.

When your institution has a core research line on grapevine biology it’s really easy to come up with a #SciCom activity that makes people happy to sit down for a couple of hours listening to science topics! A toast to our 6th Science and Technology Week wine tasting event 🥂

From brilliant to beast… or how a teaching approach undergrads were raving about suddenly becomes crap 🤔 Student’s evaluation of my Bioinformatics course. I’m thinking 2023 = high schoolers caught by the pandemic. All else equal since 2021. Anyone experiencing similar issues?
